Resolution of the Plenary session of the Czech ICOM Committee

The Plenary session of the Czech ICOM Committee, meeting in the Moravian Gallery Brno on February 5, 2004:

  • approves the Activity Report of the Czech ICOM Committee for 2003

  • approves the Financial Report of the Czech ICOM Committee for 2003 up to December 31 and takes into account the audit

  • approves the draft budget for 2004

  • approves the auditor for 2004: National Museum Prague

  • approves the providing of grants to members in 2003

  • takes into account the membership fees for 2004 as follows: 9.530 CZK for institutional members of category A (1-5 staff) , 14.200 CZK for category B (6-20 staff) and 19.450 CZK for category C (20+ staff), 1.830 CZK for individual members and reduced fee for retired museum staff - 930 CZK. All the fees are based on the sums  fixed by ICOM Executive Council and calculated according to the exchange rate of USD on November 20, 2003 (1 USD = 26,74 CZK)

  • charges the members that have not yet paid the membership fee to do so as soon as possible, so that the payment appears on the account of the Czech ICOM Committee until February 29, 2004

  • takes into account that according to the Czech law, single entry accountancy will be used in 2004; if there need is, an accountant will be hired 

  • approves the Activity plan for 2004 and charges the Board to implement it

  • charges the Board to ensure the participation in the ICOM General Conference in Seoul and in the annual meetings of International Committees in which Czech ICOM members work

  • charges the Board to develop the close co-operation with ICOM-Slovakia, to inform each other about prepared events and invite the members reciprocally, take part  in the plenary session of ICOM-Slovakia and organize a joint working session of the both committees

  • charges the Board to promote the International Museum Day (May 18) with the theme „Intangible Cultural Heritage“ for the weekend of May 15/16, 2004 and to recommend a free entry to museums and galleries. To publicize this event

  • charges the Board to distribute the manual „Muzea pro všechny“ (Museums for everybody)

  • charges the Board to support the establishment a development of the Methodological Centre for Conservation at the Technical Museum Brno

  • charges the Board to convoke the plenary session of ICOM-CZ in March 2005 according to the statutes
