Plan
of activities of the Czech ICOM Committee for 2004
1. To
develop ICOM membership in the Czech Republic and support the participation of
ICOM members in International Committees.
2. To
co-operate with the Commission for UNESCO in the Czech Republic, the Czech
Ministry of Culture, the Association of Czech Museums and Galleries, the Council
of Galleries of the Czech Republic, the Czech Committee of ICOMOS in the
protection and deployment of the cultural heritage. To take part in the museum
competition Gloria Musaealis, organized by the Czech Ministry of Culture and the
Association of Czech Museums and Galleries, by awarding the prize of the Czech
ICOM Committee.
3.
To take part in the activities of the Czech Committee of the
Blue Shield, in formulating its programme and supporting its functioning. To
take part in publishing of the manual „Prevention and elimination of damages
caused by accidents and natural disasters“.
4. To
maintain permanent working contacts and a regular exchange of information with
the ICOM Secretariat in Paris, the International Committees and Associated
organisations, to participate in the annual session of the Advisory Committee.
5.
To take part in the ICOM General Conference in Seoul and in
the annual meetings of International Committees in which Czech ICOM members
work.
6. In
the frame of its financial possibilities, to support the individual and
institutional members while organizing professional events, international
conferences and implementing other cultural projects, and to co-organize these
events.
7. To
co-operate with the national ICOM committees of the CEICOM countries, to inform
each other about the prepared events, to exchange publications, maintain
contacts and keep each other informed about the developments in the member
countries. To take part in the annual session of CEICOM.
8. To
carry on close co-operation with the Slovak ICOM Committee, keep each other
informed about the prepared events and invite reciprocally the members, to take
part in the Plenary session of ICOM-Slovakia and in the joint working session of
the both committees. To organize this session.
9.
According to the interest of the members, to initiate the
co-operation with other national committees, to organize exchange study trips
and internships, the exchange of literature and information.
10.
To supply the members – via electronic media - with
information from ICOM on the Internet, to co-ordinate and up-to-date the
presentation of ICOM-CZ on the Internet. To send information via classical mail
to those who do not have access to the Internet (upon request).
11.
To promote the International Museum Day (May 18) with the
theme „Intangible Cultural Heritage“ for the weekend of May 15/16, 2004 and to
recommend a free entry to museums and galleries. To publicize this event.
12.
To support the participation of Czech museums and galleries
in the competition of the European Museum of the Year Award (EMYA) and to take
part in the annual conference of the European Museum Forum (EMF).
13.
To support activities making museums accessible for disabled
visitors. To carry on the co-operation with organizations supporting disabled
people. To distribute the manual „Muzea pro všechny“ (Museums for everybody).
14.
To support the activities of the members in the International
Committees of ICOM. In the frame of the financial possibilities to support their
participation in conferences and meetings organized by ICOM as well as in other
events aiming the protection of the cultural heritage and its legislative frame
and in international events and scientific projects.
15.
To convoke the plenary session of ICOM-CZ in March 2005
according to the statutes.
